Hilton and Brenda Henry Community Impact Fund Established at FCF

The Fayette Community Foundation (FCF) is proud to announce the establishment of the Hilton and Brenda Henry Community Impact Fund, an unrestricted fund created by Hilton Henry in loving memory of his wife, Brenda. This new fund received a $2-for-$1 match from Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT VIII Matching Fund Grant, tripling its impact and ensuring that Brenda’s legacy of education, service, and community engagement will continue to benefit Fayette County for generations to come.

Brenda Henry passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 84, after a life devoted to family, education, and community. A lifelong Connersville resident and graduate of Connersville High School, she went on to teach elementary education for many years, touching the lives of countless students with her warmth, patience, and dedication. Beyond the classroom, Brenda was actively involved in community organizations and cherished time with her husband, Hilton, their daughters, and granddaughters.

“Brenda touched so many lives as a teacher, a friend, and a community leader,” said Abigail Roszell, Executive Director of FCF. “This fund is a way to keep her memory alive and to support the causes she cared so deeply about.”

As an unrestricted Community Impact Fund, the Hilton and Brenda Henry Community Impact Fund will provide ongoing support to address Fayette County’s most pressing needs and opportunities, adapting to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. Through this fund, Brenda’s values of kindness, service, and love for her community will live on.
