Connersville Connection A Success

More than 10 community organizations signed up to join The Fayette County Foundation, Salvation Army and United Way in their effort to unite Connersville’s charitable efforts through Charity Tracker.  Those already on board include Hope Center, St. Gabriel Church, and Central Christian Church.

It started with a dream to get all of us working together to help organizations that help people. We strongly believe that volunteers helping in the food pantries, volunteers providing medical care, and volunteers providing backpacks all have a connection to helping our community.

Charity Tracker, called Connersville Connection in our area,  is a web-based software that helps organizations collaborate and joins together community-wide resources to offer support to volunteers and their clients.  The Foundation and United Way are funding the annual cost of the software for one year, as well as granting funds to the Salvation Army to train organization representatives and oversee the program in Connersville.

It’s not too late to get involved!  Please contact Aimee Norton, Salvation Army Captain, at Aimee_Norton@usc.salvationarmy.org or call (765) 265-3617.
