Passionate about supporting healthy early childhood growth, development and school readiness? We have just the job for you! The Foundation announced the HUGE Idea grant recipient of $50,000. Huffer Child Care Resource and Referral, a Muncie-based organization which covers a 10-county region including Fayette County, was the recipient of the grant award, and the organization now will be charged with hiring a coordinator for a yet-to-be-named early learning coalition in Fayette County. That coordinator, in turn, will be tasked with raising awareness among the community’s stakeholders about the importance of early brain development, not only to help the youth of Fayette County in the present, but down the road in the future as well, when those youth become the very workforce of the county and impact its economic situation. This position offers flexible hours and its duties include:

• Providing local coordination of “Fayette County Early Learning Coalition”
• Recruiting of local, diverse community stakeholders to newly formed Early Learning Coalition
• Raising awareness about the importance of early brain development in relation to the economic future of Fayette County
• Guide the development of County Wide Vision, goals, objectives and strategies that will define the Fayette County Early Learning Coalition
