Planning Grant
The Fayette Community Foundation (FCF) has been awarded a $50,000 planning grant through Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT VIII initiative to support the development of a strategic plan for Connersville’s Parks and Recreation Department. FCF is among 92 Indiana community foundations receiving these grants, which aim to foster collaboration with local partners, engage diverse stakeholders, and address community challenges. In 2024, FCF may request additional funding to implement initiatives developed during the planning phase. Executive Director Abigail Roszell expressed gratitude for the grant, highlighting its potential to shape Connersville’s future. Community input will be sought through surveys and meetings. GIFT, established in 1990, has allocated up to $210 million through GIFT VIII to bolster Indiana communities.
